BANKRUPT SLUT is currently working on their 2nd album, Greatest Hits/Greatest Tits, and one of the first songs, Hollywood Burns, is almost done being mixed.

Hollywood Burns was inspired by a crazy true story.  In 2011, during the week leading up to New Year's Eve, the Hollywood Arsonist set over 50 fires near the Sunset Strip.  Those who lived through it will remember how night after night Hollywood would light up with the sound of sirens and helicopters--but the police still couldn't catch him!  There were 3 fires within 2 blocks of where BANKRUPT SLUT lives, bringing the heat close to home.  At this time, the energy was palpable and electric.

All the madness culminated on New Years Eve, where BANKRUPT SLUT got into a full-band group brawl on the Sunset Strip.  The fight started when Johnny Law got sucker-punched by a 'fat boy' and then Johnny Law proceeded to knock the motherfucker out!  As the fat fucker lay on the ground bleeding, he threatened to call the police, but the police were all busy.  ("Motherfucker you can't hit me first and call the police!!) Smog and Trisha Rey also got in on the action, and then hopped into an illegal cab to make a getaway. It was fuckin nuts. This song captures all this craziness and is pure mayhem!

Hollywood Burns is an absolute barn burner that will 'knock a motherfucker out'!  And its almost finished!  Stay tuned for the upcoming drop of BANKRUPT SLUT'S Hollywood Burns!

BANKRUPT SLUT - The Best Band Name Ever?

BANKRUPT SLUT doesn't need to stroke its own ego--there are better kinds of stroking going on around BS.

But really, it must be said--is BANKRUPT SLUT the best band name ever?!

We'd love to hear what people think.  There are a lot of amazing, kick ass bands out there, and most have earned their name and fans have created associations with their favorite band's names due to the bands being so awesome that they create awesomeness around their name.

But BANKRUPT SLUT is different.  BANKRUPT SLUT has an amazing, kick ass band to back the name up, but the name alone captures the band's Hollywood-sleaze persona just by hearing it for the first time.  It combines two bad things, and joins them in a way that phonetically rhymes, so that the name rings out, and it becomes a catchy good thing.  Its a name you will never forget, and with a inherent hook that makes you want to find out more.

The only other band that comes close is Guns n Roses--because the name also combines two things which exemplify rock n' roll.  It's good company to be in, but we think that BANKRUPT SLUT tops it because, well, it has sluts~
